Cranial Restructuring / Face pulling with towel?
« on: September 22, 2017, 06:29:02 pm »
I'm wondering if the towel method is efficient?

It would seem to be a good way to get started due to it's simplicity, all you need is a towel, no braces and hockey helmet with rubber bands.

What are the tips and suggestions for Face pulling with a towel.

Cranial Restructuring / Modified stretching expander?
« on: August 31, 2017, 02:09:50 pm »
I was wondering if I posted my pics on here if anyone would be willing to give me there opinion if I could use the modified stretching.  Or maybe I don't need it and instead should stick with the Active expander.

Would anyone be willing to give their assessment?  I can either post on here or PM

Cranial Restructuring / Expansion from endonasal/NCR alone?
« on: August 30, 2017, 02:14:22 pm »
I was wondering if this is possible?

If I keep getting balloon adjustments is it possible to get expansion?

I don't mind paying money, and I don't care if my teeth turn crooked, I just would prefer to let a professional treat me instead of using a dental appliance on my own, that's why I'm curious. thanks

Cranial Restructuring / Active plate vs modified stretching plate?
« on: July 28, 2017, 05:19:06 pm »
Is the modified stretching plate t he same as the active plate but with just a few more screw if you need them?

Or is the functionality different?

I'm under the impression it's the same with more function, but maybe if you don't need need the extra screws you can just use the middle standard screw and use it just like the active plate?

I figure it's better to pay a little more money and have more function if you need it as opposed to need more and having to buy another device.

Does this sound right?  I might not use the "extra" screws, but if I need them I might.

Thanks

Cranial Restructuring / Re: Any experiences with the ALF appliance?
« on: July 13, 2017, 07:46:48 am »
The ALF sounds great, but it's ridiculously expensive.

I guess it depends who your dentist or Ortho is, but I was quoted 8k total for both upper and lower.

Plus 200+ for every adjustment 2 weeks.

Plus all of the starting requirements such as 3D xray scans + recommend ling + lab frenects.

Plus the advised osteopatic adjustment 200+ every month.

I was advised to that ALF can take a while several years plus.

My estimate 15-30 grand.

Unless you can diy ALF and do everything yourself like people seem to be doing with the bracesshop, or you have an amaz

Cranial Restructuring / Re: Bracesshop expanders?

So with forward expansion that would give you more of a square jaw?

How would you know when to adjust the forward screws?

Yeah it's difficult because there's not many who do diy Ortho.  We need to keep experimenting and sharing.

BTW does anyone know if it's possible to face pull with the active plate?

Cranial Restructuring / Bracesshop expanders?
« on: July 08, 2017, 04:40:45 pm »
So I was wondering if anyone here can shed light on the different types of expanders listed or why certain ones may be better for certain malocclusions.

There is the basic one and then there's a few others with a different amount of screws.

I'm just wondering if extra screws are necessary and if if they could help more with cranial asymmetry?

Also is it possible to expand while doing NCR?  Would you Leave the expander in while getting it done and then adjust it after?

Cranial Restructuring / Is anyone here be willing to recommend?
« on: July 04, 2017, 04:05:32 am »
I was wondering if anyone here is reasonably confident in looking at a facial structure (mine) if I pm a pic and letting me know which activator from the braces website or any other general advice?

Thanks

I'm sorry I asked a question that already has a lot of posts about.

I am in the situation where I highly believe i have been living life with an undiagnosed developmental delay/learning disability.

I can see the assymetry in my face and the kind of weird shape.  In addition I have had postural and coordination problems my entire life.

Now for about 8 years I have had a tweaked back and I can't find a comfortable sleeping position which has thrown everything out of whack.  Not being able to sleep has screwed with my head much.

I have tried alot of therapies and I have to say that none actually made any improvement and none of them actually gave me an intuitive sense that it was for me.

Endonasal balloons and expanding the palate with a device actually make sense.

I really hope that I am overthinking this as a result of my brain chemistry/structure and that maybe expanding my palate increases some blood and oxygen flow and starts to change my perception of my reality and the way I feel.

I honestly believe that it is possible.  And I don't believe in diagnoses.

Thanks every one for clearing that up.  I have decided I am going to buy the expander from the website that has been posted here.

Is there any basically tips or suggestions for using that upper jaw device?  Do you wear it 24/7 or only at night?

Keep in mind the very thing someone is trying to do is improve their brain function and the simpler things are, the better because if your coming from a place of decreased brain function too much information feel impossible of making sense of.

I just did a rough measure using a tape on the outside of my mouth but aiming it at my molars, and it came out to be about 1.5 inches or 38.1 mm.

Hi everyone I'm new here and was wondering what are difference between the two besides the method.

I mean are they targeting the same type of expansion or different?  How would you know which one is more beneficial?

Also how effective is using your thumbs to push on your upper palate?  Does that count as a version of Face pulling?

I am planning on getting cranial facial release (another similar to NCR/endonasal) and was wondering if a palatal expansion device
 would complement it.

I am new here please be patient with me, and I appreciate all your help.  I'm really tired btw.  I have chronic insomnia for years.
Thanks
