Yea i think they are both palate expanders. The frist removeable the second bonded or something else. Someone actually used the first one with the pulling mask. I know that the bonded one is more effective but not an expert on that
.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15038493 this study proves the effectiveness in young adults but here as stated they did not use the Mew method of 1 mm per week + chewing hard gums. I want really hear about someone that did it at home.
Btw I have found out that some people actually bought it here: http://www.bracesshop.de.
The thing is I do not trust much and do not want to be scammed.
I hope someone who has bought and that was helpful, write soon.
Your orthodontists should offer that type, the removeable one, at least that is what they show in that website. They are pretty common practice, in my country at least almost everyone has worn them, but at pretty young age, like 10 or younger, I got mines late tho, like 14 and 3-4 years later got annoyed by them and the slow results and left them, although now that I have educated myself on things, I plan to go to orthodontist so they can fix them, so I can wear them again.
About the hard gum chewing, I might be wrong and probably am, but I have no recollection of Mew saying that hard gum should be chewed, now he did say that u know, all those maxilla related problems are cause by soft food, weak facial muscles and he had a video where he chewed a ball of gums, but I more of think that buying and chewing hard gum was something thought of in a forum. Well I dislocated my jaw on the second day from 40 minutes of not that hard gum chewing(falim gum-which really wasnt that hard), I have no idea how and what happened, but I am suffering the consequenses atm, can barely open my mouth, like 1-2 cm, it just wont open more and doesnt seem to get any better, although the doctor said, that all should be okay and I eat only soft food. What I mean is, dont overdo it, its no secret that big forces wear out a joint.
Yeah, the bonded is more effective, no lie, my question was which one they offer you, because for me 1000 euro seems like a theft, not that I know the prices, but I am pretty sure it aint made from silver
The story goes like this: Frist ortho(the thief) suggested RPE 1000 euro + cost of the treatment plan 1200 per month. The second one suggested that it can only be solved by surgery. I have a very slight underbite, nothing rally impressive. Frist i was thing about having th surgery beacuz my face was rally messed up.
But i think it can be solved without surgery like with the mew vector headgear, but for that i have to fly to uk(not a big cost) stay there(big cost) and pay mew(big cost i think).
Why am I so sure of this? Because since 7+ months i have done the "mewing"(keeping a good posture of the body and the tongue + eating hard foods like carrots or others and avoiding soft foods possibily) and
my underbite has improved. I am 21/22 and
I'm really fascinated by this thing. My face really changed but still need an expansion.
