Servus guys,
I'm 22 y/o and from germany (hanover - it's in the north under Hamburg). When I was 15/16 I first got braces and had them gotten out when I was 18. I've first read about mike mew stuff about 1 year ago. I tried the tongue on the roof but quickly forgot about it. About 1 month ago I read about it again and suddenly everything made sense:
Deviated nasal septum => breathing to mouth => long face, no jawline, receding chin, crooked nose, asymmatric face => ugly side view, depression, speech problems etc.
Currently my full tongue is most of the on the top of my roof and when I'm conscious about it, I try to add a bit of force. Even while sleeping when I wake up, it gets better. However, I noticed that my lower jaw always springs forward when relaxing my face. And then something made click again. My stupid and not knowing orthodontist forced my lower jaw to stay back instead of bringing my maxilla up and forward. A quick way to check this is by opening the mouth as wide as possible while standing and then lowering it very slowly until first contact. That's the natural position for you. For me, my lower teeth were a bit less than 1 cm more forward.
Suddenly I had a chin and my jawline was visible. It also felt very, very natural in that position. If I could get my maxilla up and forward, everything would be fixed, but that isn't that easy.
I got the feeling that most ortodontist don't have any idea about this (they think that adults can't change they face or bones. But **** that - I know that it's possible - it just takes time ) and those who do live 3 or 4 hours driving away, have very long waiting times and cost a **** ton of money. Also, then next NCR specialist is in london and this would cost easily 300/400 Euros without the therapy.
I'm thinking about calling the next best holistic orthodontist on monday and telling him my story. Maybe they will agree to "experiment" with me. I know that some use expanders, but I haven't found any one who uses a biobloc or ALF and I'm pretty sure no one has ever heard of face pulling.
If only doctors would question their knowledge after going through dental school and continue to broaden their view. Also I don't feel good when I look at their staff (or the doctors themselves) and they have ugly faces - they don't need to be topmodels, but mike mews jaw of the gods makes me feel that he knows what hes talking about - that means, they probably have no idea that teeth aren't getting fixed without fixing the jaw too.
So any of you german and has some "Erfahrungen"?
Grüße aus Hannover
