Cranial Restructuring / Re: Facepullling and Open bites
« on: April 18, 2015, 09:21:41 pm »
I think i might know whats the deal here.

I reckon its either

A) tongue thrust
B) improper tongue posture, and you don't keep ur lips sealed  (tongue should be roof of mouth most of the time), (lips should  be sealed or just millimeters open during all time except for talking and eating)
C) upper lip tie (check for lower lip if u had one and release both)
D) tounge tie
E) wrong uses of facial muscles and tongue  (you need myfunctional thearpy to re-train)

http://www.mobimotherhood.org/tongue-and-lip-ties.html

even if the tie is very minor, release them, heads up if u had them, after the surgery u shouldnt see a tie at all, if u had the surgery and the Doctor used stitches the wrong way it may tie again and u might need to do it 2 times, surgery takes roughly 30min.

u should learn whats the correct tongue posture and how to swallow, and chew on hard food or gum since u have braces, and keep ur mouth sealed all the time, this will get rid of ur open bite and will keep face pulling results intact.

(check DR john mew and his son for further info)

hope i helped.

side note: im surprised nobody here talks about tounge posture and keeping lips sealed, or lip and tounge ties? , o reven chewing on very hard food or gum which is known to improve symmetry and encourage proper swallowing thus upward and forward pressure on he maxilla. Maybe everybody keeps this knowledge  to themselves? or its common sense for ppl here, i dont know.

Dont lose hope on face pulling, just relax, u just done it wrong, re assist and do it the correct way as instructed next time.  (use helmet, and do the technique it as instructed , u might want to read it several times)

It's a journey, just like someone who started working out recently, he will do the workout with the wrong form.

PM ur whatsapp if u want to chat it out, im going through similar situation , but this time i will do it again and the correct way.

Cranial Restructuring / Re: chronic headache after face-pulling

happened to me, you're doing wrong.

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Re-assist what you're doing , do face-pulling textbook as the instructed (use helmet) , and u should be in "rest and digest" mode after u do face pulling (u should be relaxed), not "fight or flight mode" (stressed), if after face pulling u went to fight or flight mode u will run into nothing but trouble.

also take into consideration what the previous comment wrote.

Hello,  im from Saudi Arabia, i had a narrow smile and misaligned jaw and got loads of improvments from just damon braces + nasal breathing and correct swallowing, after i took of the damon braces off i figure out this technique and i figured out i had a tounge tie and a lip tie, i went and got my tounge untied but i feel like he sewed it the wrong way! (i think i will go back to the doctor to discuss that), i will get the lip tie soon and i will apply damon braces again, but before that  i tried face pulling without a helmet with a howly and i think i saw results in my body better than my face which led me to beleive that im doing it wrong and sometimes im pulling one side harder than the oethr, last 6 months i have stopped.

this time i will do it again, but i will do it smarter, and with a helmet and damon braces , the correct way ( if i didn't do that i will beat myself )

My suggestion, since i have no ppl to talk to here except my orthodontics who is like 80% open to that idea , why not start a whatsapp group ?  like exchange informations, and fill in the holes, and give support.  i mean why not go all alone in this when u have plenty of ppl here doing the same thing.

send me a PM if you're interested if there's one.
