Nope, my regimen included heavy chewing of gum for multiple hours a day and proper tongue posture for the remainder of the day.  I would say that my condyle remodeled, but didn't expect it to be this fast.  There was one time I had pretty bad headaches, but that was because I increased the load and duration.  I have not had any form of TMJ or muscle tension since 1 year ago, and I chew more than ever, with harder loads than ever.

Yeah now that you say this it reminds me that I used to have my right jaw click every time I opened it before I began mewing.  Now it is completely gone.  I haven't experienced it in 1 year!
By mewing you mean proper posture and proper tongue posture or chewing gum too? Mews do say that mewing is the right solution for TMD, but de DO NOT include chewing gum in it, that is why I ask.

 I am doing ton of massaging the fascial muscles every day and I am betting my ass that in some months I will have it completely healed, that because the doctor wants me to remove part of my teeth or use a splint and neither of those will I do. Now all my muscles are super tense, plus not only that, I am pretty sure that relaxing all those muscles would lead to great changes in the maxilla as they will stop pulling it downward, so the force opposing the tongue force will disappear. Theory I am pretty betting on since that one user who posted amazing changes in the face just from proper tongue posture in a year, because she goes to a therapist who relaxes her muscles, teaches her proper posture and does NCR too. Before her I had also read about the muscles pulling the maxilla downwards but dismissed it as bullsh*t, now I have pretty high hopes once again.

I would maybe do the tubes u less you want a major workout - it's cheap if it makes a difference, but I can't personally use mine
Well I wonder if they are much more safer in relation to the TMJ  ???

Nothing is safe to the TM joint when the bite is recessed.
Yeah, I mean, which is the lesser evil

Hard to say, there are so many variables. I think chewing intensity, duration & frequency are more significant than the object you're chewing. Of course though, the size of the object matters too, especially when the jaws are already in an uncomfortable position to begin with.

What would be a major workout in this case?

I think it will be more convenient when you just place one single tube between your molars and chew on that. Here's a quote from the user who recommended it:

Quote
What i have found to create more robust bone growth is chewing. in myofucntional therapy they call it "Tube Chew" using medical latex rubber tube. there are different thicknesses and i eventually got up to the thickest size and i chew for two minuetes once a day. but beware your face will get distorted because new bone is growing. so for example if im goin out to a party on a certain day ill stop chewing three or four days before to let bone settle and i'll look better.

[...]

Yes the tube chew is very INTENSE. The rubber creates a shock absorb resistance that is relentless on your jaw muscles. I don't think any other substance is capable so i would recommend finding some. There are different thicknesses so buy both the thin and thick one. And i use my molars only as they were design for that.

@ Progress

How would I chew these tubes?  Do I cut it into chewing gum-like sizes?

I also hear that Dr. Mike Mew gives special gummies to his patients for treatment.

Some user here suggested rubber tubes for chewing. Apparently they're used in myofunctional therapy. Might be worth a try if money is an issue.

@MeltedFace

I've heard about the jawcersizer.  Is it really worth the money?  It seems uncomfortable to use, as one cannot put it in their mouth and chew as they would with gum.

Mastic is what I have, but it becomes more soft Han the falim over time with chewing. The Falim almost has this plasticy resistance feeling, and if you doubled it up you'd get a lot of toughness I think. Aside from that, you might want to peek at the Jawzercise that I bought. I can't even use mine because my jaws are too weak!

@MeltedFace

Oh I've just been chewing 3 pieces at regular gum at once.  I thought falim is softer than mastic, and I am looking for the hardest chew possible.

It is, but it is harder than regular :D
