You`re welcome!!
Your progress sounds really good! just keep going..

Yes to learn the right swallowing pattern really is quite difficult to learn. I try to do i consciously at least some times every day and I think it gets better and better :)

Its true that NCR sessions with the traveling costs and hotel are quite expensive, but I think two or three sessions - whenever you can afford them - will help you greatly :)
I will tell you about how to attach the ballon if I can find out something, but for now I dont know when I will have my next session. BUt Ill keep you informed :)

Good luck for everything! :)

Hey sophiea13 thanks for the reply. Yeah I also pull 30 minutes every day. I really do every day, there were two times were I couldnt. The first time was in september for two days because I was travelling and the second time I was away for 5 days and couldnt do it aswell. But otherwise every time. I also found out the same things as you. Pulling hard is not good and pulling light is definetly the way to go. Also at one time, as you can read in one of my posts, I kinda started to put the rubber bands through the wrong wholes and ended up not really pulling upward. Now that I do that for roughly 2 months again I am seeing some good progress. But there is always more room for improvement as you say and things have to come forward some, but I am sure it will happen.

Also I really focus on all those Mike Mew things aswell especially these past 2 months. I chew about an hour every day, and focus on tongue posture and getting my whole tongue up. Although I think I will never know if I do it right. There are 2 problem areas though. One is swallowing, I have to master this and conciously ingrane this habbit just like I did with tongue posture and during sleep I notice it falls down too.

Next year I will try to get an expander preferably the ALF. It will be hard to get this but I am positiv I will find a solution.

Now to the NCR. I made some progress again these last times. On the right side again only but I could inflate it some more and get deeper in the skull. I did not quit reach the open space as before but I definetly got a little bit of the old sensations. Today I tried it again. I had to attach a new balloon. For some strange reason, some finger cots inflate very differently and then it is not possible. Today was one of these days. I attach a new the day after tomorrow. In general attaching the ballon is one of the main problem areas. Maybe if you have your next NCR session, you could ask your doctor how he does attach the balloon. Would be very nice.

Yeah it is expensive and I am poor student. On top of that is that I would have to travel to England and pay for the plane, hotel and NCR session. But somehow I will get to that. I am sure. At least one session.

If you have any other tips, please share and support this community.

Thanks!

Hey DS_Slash!

Merry Christmas to you as well :)

Yes i know it all costs a lot of money, but if you really want it I am sure you will achieve it!

Yes I really made quite a bit of progess. I never took any pictures, but I can notice it! Though my lover and upper jaw still have to come forward quite a bit..

Tips for Facepulling: I pull for 30 minutes (sometimes also only 25 if it feels enough) nearly every day. Sometimes I skip a day if I dont find the time or if I pulled a bit too much the day before and I feel like I have a bit of a headache..
I think it is really important that you dont pull too heavily!!! I did that at first and I felt the bone moving less.. So dont pull too hard. But, as plato sais on his website, you have to find the right pulling force for you and after you have done it for fome time you really feel it when it seems right or when you have to pull less or more. Also always make sure that you are pulling upwards! I usually focus on the upwards pull... Also always make sure that you really are pulling euqually on each side. I now always check while I do the pulling if my hands still pull the same on each side and if the hockey helmet still is straight. Thats about it :)

How are you doing? Are you making progess?

All the best!!

Hey this is really cool Sophiea. Wow so long, you must have made really good progress. I would probably do NCR proffessionally if there were a practioner here in germany or I had more money, but until then I am trying.
You should realyl fly to Mike Mew if you have the oportunity.

Also do you have any tips on Face Pulling? How much do you pull, how hard, or any other tips? Would be greatly appreciated.

Merry Christmas to all of you!

Hey :)
I wish you all the best with the face pulling process!!
I am doing it for about 9 months now and i already made great process. Not only in the bone structure but also energy levels, personality (more outgoing?) etc. I will still have some time to go but Ill keep going!
Also I am practising everything that Mike Mew said about the importance of tongue posture, swallowing and muscle tone - this really is key to improvement!!
I will soon fly over to London for a consultation with him for adult palate expansion for my tongue doesnt have enough space in my dental arch.
Also i had some NCR sessions - in total three. I really think one should have that done by a professional. I spoke to some people and everyone said that they never really got it "right" when they did it on their own..
Just my opinion..

All the best and keep us updated about your process! If anyone want to ask me anything, dont hesitate to do so :)

Ok so I sent you all the details now Ryan.

UPDATE:

So Face Pulling is going well, all the changes are still happening and I love it. No complications. Sadly 2 or 3 weeks ago my bulb for NCR kinda broke. It did release the air. I was really pissed, because I had to get one for 15 bucks and very complicated, because for some reason they dont just sell the bloodpressure bulbs here in germany. I wanted to finally order one today again, but just tried my own one more time, and now it seems to work again. I am going to try it tomorrow.

But I had a crazy awesome experience, kinda tied to Face Pulling. But it has more to do with tongue posture. So I have been trying to do the correct tongue posture, since around the same time I started Face Pulling. I had my ups and downs but it got better with progressing Face Pulling. Now it works really good. 2 times now, I think 4 weeks ago and then 2 weeks ago again, during meditating before bed, I had an awesome but crazy experience. Tongue posture has been going very good during these times, my palate seemed very soft and mobile and with every breath I took, it felt very good. than all of sudden around 7 minutes into my meditation, I hear some kind of cracking sound, something moved, I couldnt breathe for one second and my heart stopped beating for one second but it felt like forever. It was shocking. But something was mothing, I felt it in my entire head but especially in my airway. I could breathe so much better immediatly. It was awesome. But I was so shocked I had to stop and lay down. After this the palate was very very movable till I fell asleep. I experienced some crazy emotional release also. The second time it wasnt as intense, but it was there. My face looks much better now.
Just wanted to share.

I have the same concerns. I had 4 biscuspids extracted orthodontics as a kid. Now in my 20s I'm try to reverse since I have terrible TMJ. The issue that I have an ALF appliance to expand my upper arch. I have had some success with it as my lower jaw has come forward almost to the size of my pinky.

If I order a retainer to face pull won't it not fit anymore after a while? Even If the ALF isn't in the picture won't the teeth change shape? I think Plato wore braces when face pulling and that really helped since as his teeth moved around.

Also yes, the force has to go upward. I knew all of this, I just didnŽt knew I was kinda doing it wrong. Still holded it upwards, but ran the rubber bands through the wrong whole. It indeed mimicks tongue posture, but kinda gets changes faster a little bit and also pulls things out of the airway I believe. Combine both and you have the best of both worlds. If you really do correct tongue posture and face pulling youŽll see changes quickly. Just NCR is missing in this for me. Still can not get it right. I try nearly every day. This sucks, but hey I guess I have to just keep going. Would be nice to see transformer helping me but unfortunatly he doesnŽt reply so he is probably very busy.

Hey  DS_Slash

I was wondering:

With just a general harley retainer , would you not have the problem that is not possible for your teeth and jaw to become wider? that is the whole thing I do not get. How can your teeth change from a narrow smile towards a 8 or 10 teeth smile, if the retainer has no ability to widen and keep fitting that way?

Germany is not such a problem, since I am from the netherlands, which is located next to it! Was it hard to find a dental lab that accepted this idea, or did you have to go to a few to find one that was willing to make you one?

Did you just get a harley retainer, or something that is more flexible in shape? That' s just one thing i do not get..How can your teeth become ' wider' if the retainer is made when your smile was narrow. Then lets say you do face pulling and your teeth

I attached a picture to explain my question better

Congrats DS slash! I've gotta say,  that your determination is admirable! So basically you've just been pulling the wrong way (partly). That sucks....But good you found out, so you and everyone who reads this can see by your example how important it is to push the force upwards too!.

I think , maybe , who knows, even most force has to go upwards since face pulling in a way imitates the effect of having correct tongue posture. Although that force is longer and less intense, and face pulling shorter and more intense, they both add pressure to that area. (together with with the right swallowing techniques.. also force towards the roof of the mouth)

I can't wait to start with all this myself!

Greets!
