Well chewing to much mastic gum caused tooth pain with myself. I was chewing it a few hours a day, and air would start noticing tooth pain. This is the only gum tha has caused tooth pain.

I agree. Just chew until you feel done - when I get a burn I back off knowing the muscle is tired

Hey, ive just bought my first pack of mastic gum. But im a bit worried on how much i should chew.
I have heard that chewing more than one hour a day can overwork your jaw and just create more problems.
Is there any rule on how much to chew?
You probably read the pain from falim gum chewing topic, mastic is much harder I believe. So, I deeply wish you dont suffer the same problems I got myself. Dont obsess with results, I would suggest like 5-10 minutes a day, as soon as you start feeling any pain, even the slightiest tiniest discomfort stop. Dont think about getting over the pain or stuff like that, just stop, on the second. Not worth it man, I am telling you and dont you think that you will be okay and to you wont happen anything, because just as I was thinking and suspecting nothing, guess what. Some really have no problems, but dont start with the thought that you are one of them. High pressure and work overworks the joint too, so keep that in mind, especially if you have clicking or something like that, I would just stick to hard food, rather than gums.
