Hi Selina,

That's really interestign and something I could definitely afford, perhaps even if I had that I wouldn't need to save up for the ALF appliance. Where are you having this treatment done? And do you have anymore details about what it involves etc?

Can you elaborate what are the "swallowing exercises"?

Ah sorry I wasn't very clear- I meant myofunctional therapy (I.e the appliance and exercises etc) but just done by buying an appliance to encourage tongue on the roof of the mouth and then YouTube for the exercises. Just wanted to know if people thought this was worth the effort until I can afford professional help, such as the ALF combined with professional myofunctional therapy.

Are we all in agreement that mewing and adopting correct oral posture along with swallowing exercises will help with asymmetry and developing the face? I've still got my sights set on getting the ALF and getting checked for tongue tie but until I can afford it I'm going to get an appliance to encourage the correct oral posture, if we agree mewing and correcting oral posture works?
