I had braces for 4.5 years, and a permanent retainer for eight. It flung out two years ago, and nothing chnaged. With it, I don't think you can try to have good oral posture from your teeth, jaw, etc. needing to move and shift. Even the little glue pads slowly melt away...

I've had two extractions during my time having bracers, what bugs me out is the permanent retainer that I'm supposedly stuck with for life now.
My question is, have anyone of you removed this permanent retainer since you started practicing correct oral posture? Have you had any negative shifting? Experiences, Please tell!

I really want to be metal free in my mouth, I dislike it alot because I love to keep a fresh mouth and flossing is abit of a hassle + sometimes food gets stuck up in there that can't be removed by a simple tongue swipe haha..

(I've had the retainer for 2 years now)
