Thanks to DonJohns from another forum, I found out a while ago that the *LOCATION* of the palate that is pressed on or pulled, determines the part of your face that is improved. Basically the frontpart (near mouth) area of your palate is related with the LOWER side of your face (chin etc) , while the deeper side of the palate (near throat) is related to the upperside of your face (eyes etc).
Basically this means that it depends on your current face shape which part you should work on most. I have somewhat of a recessed chin (so lower side of the face) which means I should focus more on pushing up right behind my frontal upperteeth. Now for a few weeks apart from using the belt to pull my back molars up and forward, I now also do a seperate pull where I locate the belt on my first molars (first teeth you chew with) and pull upwards with it a few times using heavy force. After that I put my thumb in my mouth and push up (right behind front teeth) and hear alot of cracking sounds. I've noticed that my chin seems to have improved from it.
The thing is that with the regular belt method, you only use the back molars, which does not help you to get the front part of your palate upwards. IF you keep on improving your upper part of your face using the molars far back, but forget the ones in the front, you are actually reducing making your lower side appear worse. If the whole face is more forward, but the lower area of your face (jaw) is not, then your underside looks more recessed (and relatively speaking, it is)
If your chin is somewhat recessed (and alot of people have that these days) , the most results you will get is with pushing the frontal part of the palate part also. (or pulling upwards with belt facepulling)
I have had alot of facial improvements from facepulling with either hockeymask or the belt before, but it did not help much with the chin area. This is the first time I'm noticing these parts improving somewhat.
I *must* say though that although I may should have worked on improving the lower side earlier, the overal improvements of the face still by far are a clear improvement.
So one should not be scared to try facepulling because this might happen. Every piece you bring forward, basically is an improvement. It just means you should also work on the other parts too.
If anyone has any information or thoughts about this subject, it would be cool to discuss them here...We should work together on putting all the pieces together, since I do not think anyone else will do this
Greets,
Ryan
