Ahh I understand, perhaps it's the work you're putting into expansion is ensuring less pain? Because most people say they can be very painful when growing through.
You are lucky then, I'm just hoping I can expand enough that they will come through naturally.

They're coming out naturally, but some time ago my ortho told me that I might not have space for all of them

Anyways, I don't feel any pain or pressure because of them, but I admit that they look a little bit impacted in the x-rays. He said that they would be ok if I get enough expansion

Maybe he just wants to rip me off who knows

Yea some people doesn't develop wisdom teeth. I think that I was lucky because my dad doesn't have wisdom teeth nor my brothers

Improvement I am so jealous, think wisdom teeth are what I need to sort out my TMJ! I suppose I should be grateful however I haven't had extractions. Did they begin to come through before face pulling or as a result of it? Think mine may be a genetic thing to unfortunately, my mother doesn't have hers and neither does my older sister so it's not looking good!

Yes, I have, and I hope to keep them! :) They're not fully erupted yet because of a genetic dental abnormality but they're slowly moving their way

Forgot to ask, do you have your wisdom teeth improvement? I haven't had mine through and I think that's the problem

Glad we're on the same wavelength then! Ive realised that the pain ive been having in my jaw and temple is probably it moving into a new position and is actually a sign of the upper palate expanding rather than just the teeth moving

Same here, my right side is taking some space from the left, and it looks out of the center

After some expansion, a gap will open between them to fit properly

I think my good side has a wider arch but the angle of it is like pushing the bad side down and making the teeth crowded. Yeah you're right I think with more space everything will just even out better.

I also have a bad side and a good side

and the good side has a way more wider arch. I doubt that when my bad side gets to be as wide the other will melt for some reason

I dont know about yours, but it's probably the same

Ah I understand, I meant because I have a good side which is tight and forward and a bad side which is down and set back that when it expands it starts to match the looser side and not the tighter side. If that makes sense

Your palate will only expand in the transverse plane; it will not move forward or backward

How can it worsen your facial features? You will only get a bit broader face over time and a more balanced head

Ah right okay, so expand first then bring the expanded palate forward?
That seems doable, im concerned that if I don't do the two at the same time I will develop worse facial features. Is it possible for as the palate to expand it comes forward by itself?

Yep! I'm on the same road

However, I will wait until next year to start my facepulling journey. I need to expand my palate first and save money to have some things designed

I tell you this because there is not a facepulling device already designed to fit our needs so we have to throw money to have a custom design that meets our expectations

I think it would be more comfortable than the reverse pull headgear as it doesn't have anything pushing against the forehead or chin.
I can see what you mean but I think it's the best way to wear the headgear for a long period of time without having to hide away wearing it all through the day.
I'm desperate to find a forward pulling headgear that works! Seen a number of studies showing the benefits. Theres one with monkeys where they wore it for 24 hours a day, and after 3months their wisdom teeth erupted.

The facebow looks like a torture device; I'm not familiar with that, but it seems to be highly uncomfortable

I'm against using devices overnight, I think that spoiling your sleep day after day is one of the worst things you could do to yourself
