My routine was 1 hour of facepulling every night and a little bit of jaw exercises

However, I think that the most important thing that I did was placing my jaw where it belongs. I used to move it forward to compensate my overbite, so I just fixed that

Wow improvement that's amazing, I got told this is something id have forever and basically to just deal with it!
That's okay then, I just wasn't sure because my maxilla is high and forward on the TMJ- side but low and back on the other if it cause my face to match the backwards side or the nicer forwards side. But at the end of the day I just want a face where both sides match.
Can you give me details of what your routine was to fix it? I might follow that to try and fix it.
I think I am but I'm not actually sure. My face has come up and forwards since I've been doing it, but my stupid upper palate is still quite set back.
*Forgot to mention, wore my palate expander last night and the pain is gone now*

Yes, I fixed it permanently, I've been good for several months without a single crack.

I don't think that your palate expander can move your maxilla backward

Try as much as you can while you're still young and developing  ;D

Good luck my friend

PS: Are you properly mewing?

Reenochrobinson think you're right, nobody has reported pain after it. I'm hoping it will be gone by tomorrow, but I can't decide whether to keep up with the palate expansion or not. Improvement that's exactly what I'm getting except it's more popping on the right side. You said you fixed it, do you mean temporarily or permanently? Because if so I might do face pulling and chewing to get my palate in a better position then start expanding. My biggest fear is my palate expander will cause my upper palate to go back when it expands rather than forward. I can see why people seek professional help, but this won't be possible for me for at least a couple of years due to me going to uni so ive got to do what I can when I'm still young.

Chewing a lot could be a reason. I used to suffer from TMJ and got rid of it in 1 month of mewing and facepulling. In those times my jaw would crack a lot when I chewed because of its malposition and after some hours I'd usually get sore. Anyways, I don't chew or facepull anymore, I'd prefer to wait until my palate is expanded since it's one of the most important things that should be done firstly

I haven't had any pain from my NCR treatments. If anything it has helped with the tension headaches that I get sporadically as I haven't had one since I started the treatment. I agree with Improv that your symptoms sound like TMJ that would more likely be caused by the occlusal changes from your palate expansion/face pulling or maybe from fatigue of masticatory muscles. Hope you feel better soon!

Improvement its weird, its no longer in my jaw now, just in my temple.
Im 18, I had TMJ before really bad on my right side. It gets better if I chew lots and do face pulling (face pulling temporarily relieves it). I think you're right, I was hoping to do everything at once to speed my results but it will be difficult to track what is causing the results that way.

Hmmm weird, All pain I've experienced from NCR was in my nose. I highly doubt that your problem is due to ncr

How old are you? It seems like you developed TMJ. Did you have any problems related to your jaw before?

Try doing 1 thing at a time to detect which one  is causing the problem, maybe doing everything together was too much charge for you

Yesterday/ last night I started to experience jaw pain on my right side (more developed, usually pops. Other side doesn't.) It feels tense and I put it down to the palate expander, even though i hadn't felt it since I've been wearing the palate expander. I also had popping on the other side which don't usually get.
Today it's moved to my temple on the right side, it just feels really tight and like a constant headache. I can't work out which of the following it is:
-I didn't wear my palate expander the night before
-My palate expander is causing that "tight side" to release but move back (meaning I'd have to face pull whenever I wear it)
-I didn't face pull as much yesterday ( usually face pulling makes it feels much better)
- yesterday was the first time I used a proper finger cot for NCR.
I'm leaning towards its down to the NCR, as ive had pain from my expander by turning it too quick and I felt that in my teeth not have and it went away when I slowed the expansion.
Has anyone experienced pain after NCR?
