To answer your question, yes. Think of it as the tip of the nose is sitting on the maxilla/upper jaw. So moving it up will change the appearance of your nose. I've read that people who've had double jaw surgery and their noses got straighter.

 Fix a Hooked Droopy Nose from being pulled down, to more Upturned?

Make your Nose appear Smaller by Balancing out your Face, Maxilla and Mandible by Bringing Forward and Widening the Cheekbones and Maxilla, making your Cheek Line/ Cheekbones Parallel to the Bridge of the Nose, making it less pronounced, as opposed to sunken in cheekbones, narrow face, and retruded Maxilla, making your Nose appear Wayyy Larger than it actually is????

Basically making your nose look way better
