Side Effects/Headaches self treatment
« on: July 24, 2013, 10:07:11 pm »
Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced prolonged headaches or head pain from doing self treatment. It is a very touchy thing to do I know but after one treatment about 3 weeks ago the left side of my head was left in pain. So I stopped for a week and half. I shortly after reestablished treatments gradually and carefully and everything seemed to be going fine until I woke up one morning and I began rushing out of the house running up the stairs looking for my uniform for work until a sudden pain struck the left side of my head again in the upper/middle region. I then began to worry that maybe I did something wrong and overexerted myself causing a blood vessel to rupture when I then began to think "crap I hope this isn't because of that one darn self treatment all those weeks ago". This pain has remained for quite some time now (5 days) sort of like a migraine. Sharing my story hopefully someone can relate or share their input on what might have happened.  This may be darn well what I get for taking it a little to far with self NCR.

Oh dear. :o
I hope that you are ok now.

I haven't started NCR yet, bit intimidated and worried that I'll do it wrong. I've only been doing a little bit of face-pulling.
Perhaps try a cranio-sacral osteo as they are very gentle. And: Be Careful!

I am much better now and I definitely now know it was a mixture of really "going at it" when inflating the balloon and too many times I decided to re-inflate (which Ben clearly states that he discourages). Then on top of that over exerting myself when my skull and body are still catching up to the sessions (something I also believe Ben discourages)....Over the top on my part really but sometimes the best way for someone like myself to learn is through some sort of slap in the face from the world haha. Thanks for the concerns Viridian  and honestly any things of this sort I've only heard happen when someone gets ahead of ones self (as I believe I did) so don't be to intimidated  ;), and thanks to you Tyler as well very informative and helpful. Its good to hear someone else's experience's with this. May our awareness abilities continue to expand :).

Sorry, but I have not had this experience myself. Is it still twitching? What you say has made me concerned.

Will you consider seeing a doctor, who at the very least may be able to access whether your eye is in any form of danger? Is such a thing accessible to you in your country of residence?

Its feeling good now....I honestly think (now that im calmed down) it was the right side of skull unlocking because its the most screwed up. My right ear eyebrow and face in general is all well...off. So I think my body is just unlocking to be honest. Good news is the Chinese believe the right eye twitching is good luck (at least that's what my acupuncturist said)....so hey theres a bonus.

Hey and thanks for the concerns Tyler its good to hear

That is a relief. I was worried that you may have done harm to yourself, but now that I reflect back on my past NCR sessions, I recall a few instances where my eye reacted funny, too. It did not twitch like yours, but I have felt an intense head rush and a peculiar sensation in my eye when my right eye came to life all of a sudden.
