Title says it all. Cheers.

EDIT: What's the difference between RME and Palate Expansion by the way? They both make the face wider, right?

I had some guy name me this:http://www.bracesshop.de/
I ordered a pair but they are yet to arrive, so I cannot guarantee they're the best.
Let me know of any others! 8)

RME is rapid maxillary expansion which is just palate expansion at a faster rate (not favorable)

Yes! braceshop is legit. Make sure to send good moulds and they will fit fine. The best ones imo would be the maxillary plate / the upper jaw plate. If it sits higher in the palate the expansion would be more structural. The Y plate just doesn't really hit the upper areas where it really counts. The other one that looks good is the 3 pin expansion plate which has screws near the back of the molars.

Thank you! Can you link which ones I should buy please? Also, would I need to wear retainers once done with this?
Another question, don't I need to expand my lower jaw as well?

Thanks again  ;D, appreciate it - I've been wanting to do this for some time, but I get easily overwhelmed with all the information and it's not exactly cheap...

First one is the upper Jaw plate which I purchased, second link is the full upper jaw stretching plate which has extra screws by the rear molars. If I would buy again I would buy the full upper jaw stretching plate. Ive also linked to a combo deal which comes with a lower jaw plate. Cant comment on lower jaw expansion its really difficult to expand the lower jaw so probably not worth it. As you advance and swing the maxilla upwards the lower jaw naturally comes up anyways and makes up for the distance (So i've been told).

You wouldn't need a retainer if you had really good oral posture. Your tongue to the palate would support the teeth.

Thank you! I am wearing permanent retainers from conventional braces now though, would it screw up with the palate expansion? I am guessing not since the palate expansion expands the outer teeth and not the front teeth, and my retainer only sits in the front teeth, but I want to be sure.

Thanks again, seriously, appreciate it, finally I can fix my smile.

yeah totally agree, bought the upper jaw plate as a starter.

I'm a bit dubious about the stretching plate, especially if you were to do it without the help of a dentist. It would push the front teeth forward, but also push the rear teeth back. If you were to buy the stretching plate because you wanted to use the stretching feature, Id say to just face pull with the upper jaw plate.

I don't think you'd be able to wear both because the palate expander will basically be like wearing a full sized retainer. The palate expander should also act like a retainer for your front teeth.

also btw any of you guys have resources for self ncr?

Good point... ****, do I have to remove my permanent retainers now? Is there no other way to expand my palate?

I'm surely beyond saving if I can't wear a palate expander now.

Well, how long do you have to wear your retainers? Can't you just palate expand when you get them removed?  I think that the palate expander should act as a retainer, but I am a very uninformed opinion.

The retainers are fixed so they will sit in permanently. What I don't understand is why I have to wear my removable retainer when I go to sleep, then what are the permanent retainers on the back of my incisors for?

Just talk to your dentist about taking them off. Unless you're mouthbreathing and failing to maintain tongue posture, your teethline won't just magically **** itself up without retainers. Retainers are inferior to tongue & jaw posture in terms of maintaining straight teeth. There's no reason to wear a retainer if you're physically able to use your body like it's supposed to be used.

So how has it gone for you?? Did your equipment show up? Was it legitimate, did it show results? I'm looking for a palate expander like, yesterday.

I'd also love to hear how your order from BracesShop.net went.
 Thank you.
