Face pulling - does it upswing the mandible?
« on: January 06, 2017, 09:51:12 am »
I'm really curious if face pulling - maybe with the mouthpiece and shoestring design (best looking method so far) might upswing the mandible. Or could you wear one of those masks that go around the face - often marketed for a 'v-line" help?

Take a look at this picture:

How your mandible sits in relation to the rest of the skull is completely dependent on the structure and position of upper jaw/maxilla. If you achieve maxillary movement, you will achieve mandibulary movement too.

Meltedface, your Maxilla resonds to both facepulling and mewing, proper tongue placement etc and in turn your mandible will too, your mandible n chin have no sutures but remodels in size and shape in accordance to what your maxilla does, your maxilla widens and then so your Mandible and chin widens also and yes Mewing is an effective and most natural way to initiate this.
