A Couple of Questions Regarding Finger Cot Selection
« on: May 16, 2013, 04:54:31 pm »
I have purchased a box of assorted finger cots, yet it seems that the smallest size available is still too large to properly slide against my sphenoid bone [without expanding down into my throat]. It is frustrating, to be certain, but I am confident that the correctly sized finger cot is out there, someplace. Certainly, my head is not shrunken, so I do not suppose that my turbinates are too small to accommodate the right fit, once I have obtained it. Does anybody with experience performing NCR on themselves suppose that it is possible to push the balloon too far into the nose, so that it misses the sphenoid bone entirely? It seems that it is "popping" out the back of my nose, and when I look at the back of my throat in the mirror, until I start pumping in air I'm unable to see the balloon. Based on this observation, I feel compelled to conclude that the balloon is resting in the correct spot... yet it's doesn't seem to want to push up against the bone!

So I am here to ask others: "Where do you buy your finger cots, and what size has been most beneficial for you?" I suppose I will not receive an answer that is applicable to my own situation, but it provides me with some measure of determination to hear about your experiences. Furthermore, if you have shared my experience, wherein the balloon slips down into the back of your throat to gag you, were you able to modulate the procedure in any meaningful capacity by tying the balloon off closer toward the tip? In other words, is it the length, or the width, of the balloon that determines whether it is "too large"?

I will scour the shops in my region tomorrow on a hunt for the tiniest finger cots money can buy... I wonder if this is a sign that I am too tiny, yet I am presently unaware of it, lol. I am 5 feet, and 8 inches, tall, damn it!

-

On further reflection, I have a specific question for Ben. You mention that it took you 3 months to prepare your body for NCR; by this, do you mean to indicate that it took 3 months of trying to yield your first satisfying "crack"? I am considering the possibility that my sphenoid is bent so badly out of shape that there is no room for the balloon once I pump air into it... but I'm not certain if such a thing is possible. In such an event, I will persist in the hope of loosening the bone enough to get a good grip; yet, at this point, I am also considering the sad possibility that I may be among the percentage of people for whom NCR at home simply refuses to work... I really hope that it is not the case.  :'(

(I do feel pressure in my ears as if I am swimming underwater, so I also feel inclined to safely conclude that something is happening! Yikes... maybe I am expecting progress too soon!)

Hmm.  I'm sorry to hear you're having such difficulty Tyler.

I'm currently using large finger cots which I buy at London Drugs (I live in Canada)  by Pharmasystems (24 per box 8 s/m/l).  However, I initially had trouble getting the balloon through my turbinates, so maybe I have large nasal turbinates?  I'm an average sized guy at 5'11'' though.

Didn't CP (from claimingpower.com) also have similar problems with the balloon inflating into his throat?  Maybe try to contact him?

If you keep having problems, maybe it would be worthwhile to visit an NCR practitioner, just to get the ball rolling.  I know having to pay so much money sucks though.

Also, IME, when I first started it was very obvious for me that something had happened.  There was no doubt in my mind and I felt no need to convince myself.  This is in opposition to my previous FP attempts, in which nothing was really happening but I kind of convinced myself that it was.

My point here is that IMO results are the best indicator of success.  If you're not sure if anything happened, then there's a good chance nothing happened.

Agree with Walrus's reply.

A few questions:

Does your skull have a "gentle soreness", like when you lay down at night to sleep and press on your skull with your pillow, it's more sensitive than usual? This is an indication that the connective tissue is temporarily loose, which means your treatments were "effective", but you didn't get permanent results for any number of reasons.

How long have you been doing it? (how many treatments etc)

I started treatments using extremely thick, large Japanese finger cots made from a rubbery material. I didn't even inflate them all the way through the nasal passage, and I still got some results albeit slowly. When you get results, you'll notice. Like walrus said, there won't be any major question marks in your head, it'll be pretty clear by the look and feel of your face afterwards.

It's difficult for anyone to know how much pressure you're using and what you're feeling. Follow your intuition. Don't know how else to help but wish you the best Tyler

Thank you for relating your experiences to me, guys. Even though I have not felt a satisfying crack yet, I continue to explore my options.

In response to your questions, Ben, I haven't experienced any soreness in my skull. I understand that this means I have not succeeded yet.

I have made approximately 30 individual attempts to expand the balloon against my sphenoid bone; yet, I have only briefly prevented the balloon from slipping down into my throat 6 times or so. In this six attempts, I managed to push a bit less than a single bulb's worth of air into the balloon before the pressure wins, and my held tongue / breath cannot hold it there any longer. I am beginning to strongly suspect that my throat cavity is small because of all of the pressure in my skull, so I have started to practice using two finger cots instead of one.

In a few days, I will update you on my progress to let you know if I have been able to succeed in releasing the initial brunt of resistance. In addition, I will do everything in my power to have a professional perform a single series for me because I sense that, once the initial pressure is "broken through", so to speak, future sessions will proceed with much greater ease. It is encouraging the bones to release the first time that seems to be the biggest challenge. Has anybody else found this observation to be true?

There does not always have to be a crack to be successful.  When Hillary does my NCR, there's not always a crack each time, but it don't mean that it didn't do anything.

She said don't always expect a crack each time, but yet things still move.

If it feels like water up your nose, then you're probably doing it right.

If you're a student, you can always take the ABC™ Endonasal Cranial by Dr. Jesse Jutkowitz (jut•ko•witz).  He's known for the Advanced BioStructural Correction™ '(ABC™)  protocol .  It's costing on $600 for students for the same damn thing!  Hell, I think I'll go back to a local college here and start a health major of some kind, just so I can train for it too.  They teach you to do yourself (Endo Nasal Cranial and First Rib Maneuver™ )  I know the rib thing, but haven't tried it yet, need to watch instructions again.

ABC™ Endonasal Cranial:

I ordered the Free DVD to learn the First Rib Maneuver™
http://www.meningealrelease.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3&Itemid=4

Scroll down to where it says Click here to get a Free DVD that shows you how to do the First Rib Maneuver™ on yourself and your patients.

After doing the First Rib Maneuver™ on yourself you will immediately:

    * Breathe easier.
    * Your nasal passages will be more open.
    * Your shoulders will immediately not slump forward when you let you body relax and slump.
    * Your legs and feet will be looser (test it when you squat).
    * You'll have more color in your face due to increased blood flow.
    * And there will be many other positive effects depending upon what is out of alignment in your body at this time.

Dr. Ben Eversage recommends ABC along with NCR. He's a NCR doctor from Iowa.

Here it is my friend - you will find a list of practitioners there as well.

http://alphabioticinfo.com

Let me review why I feel all three are a great combination:

   1. NCR unlocks the cranium, corrects head shape, re-establishes CSF flow and proper brain functioning
   2. ABC breaks up meningeal adhesions and corrects anterior vertebra thereby unwind the spine and correcting postural misalignment
   3. Alphabiotics is a miracle and switches the brain on to the alpha brain wave state bringing positivity, joy and blissful functioning

The training I believe will give you confidence along with the proper skill to do the job right.

Thanks for the suggestion, MessiahMews! $600 is much more feasible for me, considering my present situation! I'll give them a call on Tuesday, in order to learn the rib maneuver.

Despite my uncertainty, I think that Dr. Hillary's analysis is correct. I have not experienced any cracking, but I do feel the sensation of being underwater in my nose occasionally. In addition, I can observe subtle changes in the width of my face - mainly because the wrinkles, which would typically form around my lips when I smile, are no longer present. The change is very subtle because I suspect I carry a significant amount of tension in my skull, in addition to the fact that, as somebody who has endured many years of verbal abuse, I struggle to "relax" into these procedures. To that end, it seems that I am so accustomed to remaining vigilant that I cannot easily "imagine" my way toward something positive, such as a released cranium. In other words, I think that my psyche is fighting the process to a large degree...

One day we will be united again, though! It will eventually learn that I'm not its enemy, and I will remember not to fear its signals and messages, lol. I sense that my disconnect from / distrust toward my own psyche it is why I experience no sensation of relaxation or endorphin-rush from face-pulling, either, even though I am clearly yielding results... truly, the psyche is an incredibly powerful thing, which seems to be capable of superseding material force / physics!

I succeeded! And this time, I know that the procedure succeeded because I felt a tiny cracking sensation in my ears! Yay!!

I can definitely tell that I am fighting against a LOT of tension because, even with two balloons, the progress is so slight! I felt very dizzy today in a familiar way today after proceeding, but afterward felt very good!! I am going to try three balloons to see if that will help, though I plan to proceed with caution at this point! Nevertheless, I'm incredibly excited because, for the first time, I know without a doubt in my mind that I am making progress! My ear still feels a little funny, and I think that my ear canal has shifted slightly!

 ;D ;D ;D

Be sure to order the free DVD too, as having that visual is very important.
