Hah, dope. Oh well, I myself gave TMD from chewing falim gum and its almost been a year since then. The first months were awful, got better, havent felt anything for months, sometimes was thinking that it probably healed, but these days I guess I inflamated my joint again with chewing gum and so on, proving that the problem is still here. I dont know how much TMD will slow the process, but I have been mewing pretty seriously for more than a year and have zero to none changes, not that i am saying that it is fake,  I am saying that results are definitely slow.

Very good explanation , i just said  this because on every others forums most peoples really messed up their bite with facepulling , the only one claiming it worked was in fact a guy who used surgery .....so i'm sceptic atm

Allthough not considering it the best idea, I have read only about one person who messed up his face and some who felt that they screwed up and had more pain and worse tmd, got better after some time.

Most popular results are of 2 people and they are both pretty good.

Could you send some link as from your saying I understand that there are most likely cases I have missed?

I've started to notice that my back teeth are tipping outwards.
What do you mean by that? Can you show on picture/drawing?

Is this jamo716? Is your method still the same? Could you post side view?
Really looks like him, especially the username, but why scramble the face when the original pictures are pretty well-known. Anyway, mewing doesnt really involve belt facepulling and thats what got you the most results and they are amazing, no lie about it.

Something I was really sure of is that massaging the facial muscles and those close to it is gonna help a lot. There is this japanese method, which involves massaging the muscles to change the face shape, make it shorter or narrower.  I still stay behind my believe, but I think other factors might also be involved in the process like NCR for example(although I still dont know what NCR exactly does and affects). There was this user which posted her progress and she had significantly lifted her maxilla, like a lot, like the thing you would achieve with a belt by relaxing the muscles and doing NCR. I try to massage frequently, but TMD doesnt let you relax that much, and stiffness comes back fast, so I cant really say how much of improvement relaxing the muscles can be, but I think it should help a lot.

You got the self ncr guide? Could you share it please, for now I have no interest in doing it myself , since I cant really get detailed information on the real purpose and so on, but would really like to read it. :)

Cranial Restructuring / Re: Advice Needed for 17 Year Old

Yeah now that you say this it reminds me that I used to have my right jaw click every time I opened it before I began mewing.  Now it is completely gone.  I haven't experienced it in 1 year!
By mewing you mean proper posture and proper tongue posture or chewing gum too? Mews do say that mewing is the right solution for TMD, but de DO NOT include chewing gum in it, that is why I ask.

I am doing ton of massaging the fascial muscles every day and I am betting my ass that in some months I will have it completely healed, that because the doctor wants me to remove part of my teeth or use a splint and neither of those will I do. Now all my muscles are super tense, plus not only that, I am pretty sure that relaxing all those muscles would lead to great changes in the maxilla as they will stop pulling it downward, so the force opposing the tongue force will disappear. Theory I am pretty betting on since that one user who posted amazing changes in the face just from proper tongue posture in a year, because she goes to a therapist who relaxes her muscles, teaches her proper posture and does NCR too. Before her I had also read about the muscles pulling the maxilla downwards but dismissed it as bullsh*t, now I have pretty high hopes once again.

I would maybe do the tubes u less you want a major workout - it's cheap if it makes a difference, but I can't personally use mine
Well I wonder if they are much more safer in relation to the TMJ  ???

Nothing is safe to the TM joint when the bite is recessed.
Yeah, I mean, which is the lesser evil

@MeltedFace

Oh I've just been chewing 3 pieces at regular gum at once.  I thought falim is softer than mastic, and I am looking for the hardest chew possible.

It is, but it is harder than regular :D

I also have a sister who is turning 9 in a couple of weeks.  She has had an open mouth posture for most of her childhood, and still has it now, due to adenoid hypertrophy.  Her palate is very narrow, and she shows facial lengthening and narrowing, and a tooth pattern that seems like a class 2 division 1 maloclussion.  She has very crowded lower incisors.  I have urged her to do proper tongue posture, but she finds it very difficult, and still has her lips and teeth apart.  She also fails to be diligent in chewing gum one hour per day.  Is there anything that I can do to improve her condition?  My parents are considering conventional orthodontics for her.

Read this: http://www.debugyourhealth.com/orthodontics-and-cranial-structure/ . It was posted from a fellow user a few days before, pretty interesting read. And here with tongue they used something that will keep it on the top like something sticky, I mean read it, you are not going to regret it. Then again, I dont expect that you will start the procedures like the massages in the topic since you are only her brother and not a parent and they most likely wont trust you or believe you.

She most likely might often be with stuffed nose and not be able to breath through it. Plus not only that, I have told the thing about the maxilla to at least 6 adults my age and no one cares even the slightest. Just one took interest, but he just listened to what I told him about tongue and posture and does it, but has not researched the topic himself in any way. Even my ex, who studies orthodontic and teeth medicine(literal translation sorry lol), has worn orthodontic devices for 8 years, which were removed like a year ago and has no place for her teeth, so they start moving the moment she stops wearing those devices and her doctor wants to remove some of her teeth to make place. Despite this, she has absolutely no interest in orthotropics, tongue posture etc. My point is, what is left for a kid, pretty small chance she realises what you are trying to tell her, so she can be like oooohhh and start doing it with motivation. So try to convince your parents of the orthotropics and that most likely wont definitely be easy. Last resort, speak with the orthodontist himself, get out of your comfort zone(saying it in case you are pretty shy, but want to do the right thing), search for an orthodontist who believes in what the orthotropics teach, some users of this site have managed to find such people. But I believe that you should work with your parents in the first place. And if she has stuffed nose, dont use bought medicine, there are some pretty good ways to wash the nose, which I still havent done though, so read about them.

So, considering I saw absolutely amazing results from chewing gum for 6 months(not to me, but to another fella) I have been wondering how so many of you chew gum but barely have results, because that dude changed the shape of his whole head for such a short time. And I just came to realisation. The point of chewing gum is to streghten the muscles which in turn reshape the face. Thing is, I realised, most of you are not in caloric surplus but just chewing and just like any other muscle most likely those masseter muscles neither get bigger nor stronger (same reason my squat and bench press have stayed the same for a whole year, but man I need to eat 5 times a day for a surplus), so you are just doing nothing. So for your case, try to enter a surplus, at the same time start lifting if you are not, because in my opinion being in caloric surplus is much much harder than lifting, so hey, dont miss the opportunity.

Another thing, if your sister is that bad, I dont know how wise it is to chew gum everyday like this. When the maxilla is recessed is not in optimal position for chewing and here comes the TMD, what happened to me on the second day, popped my TMJ. Since she is just 9, start with tongue I guess.

Also, sadly, I have no idea about the wisdom teeth. I have been wondering the same, since I am already in the age in which they come out, but still havent had any pain. I wonder if the are impacted or even when my maxilla is narrow if there is place, since I also dont wont to remove them. But since yours are already impacted, I dont know man, I dont see how if you dont remove them, you are going to straighten them, so they dont make a problem and if inflammation starts etc. But hey, dont let that make you sad, I just dont know, not saying that there is no way, just keep searching..

Cranial Restructuring / TMJ FB group?
« on: July 20, 2017, 03:44:22 pm »
Hey guys, if I am not mistaken there is this TMJ related group in facebook or at least I have seen posts on which Dr. Mew has discussed TMD treatment and someone said there is a group. So does someone know this particular group in which also the Mews are part of?

gotta start imminent fasting again before I go bald (yes, that helps my hair to grow)
You mean intermittent fasting? How does it help tho, havent read anything regarding that prospect

I was writing a long reply, turns out during the process I have gotten distracted and discarded it(that before you posted the pics). I cant notice the exact difference, but feel that there is some present. Sadly, your haircut plays such a huge role in the change, that it alone has made much more difference compared to what the mewing has made and fades everything in comparison, so the result is that I cant notice the exact changes. :D
