Hey everyone, I'm marie, just an average high school junior w/ braces.  My main goal is to get rid of my weak chin w/ chewing and face pulling by the end of high school.  Wish me luck!  Sending good vibes to everyone!!!!!!   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I haven't seen any update yet, but I do have an idea of how to fix it.  I don't know how many of you guys go onto claimingpower, but he can be pretty helpful.  While I may not practice proper tongue posture (yet) as it still is pretty uncomfortable for me, I do chew hard gum everyday.

My face is asymmetrical, my mouth & chin seem to be shifted a little to the left which gives me the schizoid smile.  The teeth on the left side of my face are more forward and higher up, as well as my brow.  I finally noticed that I hardly ever chew on my right side!  I believe chewing affects symmetry more than anything, and that it also pushes the maxilla up and forwards.  Chewing and the tongue posture both require the jaw muscles to grow stronger, bigger versus do nothing and leaving your mouth to hang open.

Cranial Restructuring / Re: What are peoples "Face Pulling" experiences?

Okay...so I have been face pulling for a little less than 4 months now.  It's not as life changing or amazing as the other users are making it out to be, but maybe I'm doing it wrong.  All I use are two paper clips and two thin rubber bands (well, a rubber band and a hair tie now).  I do it while watching TV.  I don't feel anything until (sometimes) after I take the two clips off my braces (the feeling NEVER hurts).  Then I take a picture for documentation purposes.  Now, taking in account of all the different angles, I have noticed a slight (and by slight I mean slight!) shift forward.  Being somewhat pessimistic I could dismiss this for wishful thinking, BUT my TMJ is gone.  Whenever I would yawn or open my mouth wide open my left jaw would always pop -- now it doesn't.

So there, that's all I have but I hope it was helpful.  The disappearance of the TMJ has motivated me to keep continuing.  I noticed an effect within 3 months, so definitely hang in there and be patient.  I may still have a weak chin but I hope it will grow considerably stronger by the end of the year.

Near and at the very end of the main face pulling page he talks about the schizoid smile and that he'll update in a few months concerning how to correct it.  He never did...and I found this forum and you guys have known about face pulling since at least 2012 and its 2015 already!  Did I miss something?
